...what it comes to....

I've been struggling with this decision for quite some time, and I have decided to make it happen.

No, I'm not leaving (yet).  I'm talking about dealing with the gluttonous Runtime folder and my outdated rendering program of choice (DAZ Studio V4.8).  I have collected so much 'stuff' over the years, continuously adding more and more, because "it might be useful in a render sometime", that it's starting to take seemingly forever to load some files.  Also, because I'm using so much memory, due to the bloated files, that my machine sometimes has trouble doing what I expect it to do.

Ok, so, this weekend I had some time for experimentation.  I installed Studio 4.9 on a small notebook computer, as well as a few models to work with, and tried it out.  Ok, I think I'll be happy with the new version.  Now my plan is to clean everything out, all of it, remove DAZ, and start over.  I'm currently in the process of storing all my goodies on a backup drive (I can't let all that stuff go.  What if I need it sometime?), then I'll make the change.  I'm not sure how long all this will take, but I'm quite sure it will slow down my production of cute girls in bondage/peril.  Just...bear with me, please?  I'll get back into form soon...
